Match Preview ACL Two Group G MD4 | Selangor FC vs Persib | Hunting For A Win Against Persib At MBPJ Stadium

Selangor FC will host Persib for the fourth match of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 campaign at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya, tonight at 8:15 p.m.

In their second year competing in this tournament, the Red Giants were drawn into Group G alongside Bangkok United FC, Lion City Sailors FC, and Persib Bandung.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Christophe Gamel, the team has been working hard to improve on its weaknesses and he is confident that the players will put up a strong challenge against Persib.

“This is a very important match for us, so we have worked hard to address our weaknesses because of that. Of course, Persib also wants to get the win, but honestly, my focus is entirely on our team. We know the quality that they possess; we have seen it and experienced it when playing at their ground. So, to some extent, we know how to handle certain situations,” said Gamel with confidence.

“The team always play to win, and I have full trust in the players because they are the ones who will decide everything on the pitch. We have prepared thoroughly and worked on the areas that needed improvement to deliver our best performance tonight,” he added.

In terms of player availability, Mukhairi Ajmal and Noor Al Rawabdeh have now returned to training with their teammates. Meanwhile, Sharul Nazeem is unable to join the squad due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, Haiqal Lau is recovering from a calf strain, Fazly Mazlan is sidelined with an ankle sprain and also Zikri Khalili. Apart from them, the Red and Yellow players are ready to fight in tonight’s match.

This will be an exciting match to watch, as it also represents a clash of two nations, Malaysia and Indonesia. Get your tickets now and witness this thrilling encounter live, here!

The Selangor FC management is confident that the team will not give up easily and will deliver a better performance than they did in Indonesia. Come on, Red Giants!
